My 3 year old loves it a lot. She likes to lie on it while I rock her. Her older cousins (6 to 13 years old) also loved it. I was a bit worried it would be a hassle to assemble (based on other review comments) but it was actually very easy. ends in unraveling. It's not enough to actually hurt someone, but something to watch out for when your child says they scratched it and you're wondering which part did it. The metal loops to which the ropes are attached are smooth so you don't have to worry. I also sometimes use it with the AusKit Swing Swivel to make it rotate instead of just swinging back and forth. I wear it indoors when not in use so can't comment on how well it holds up to the elements. But with regular use it seems to hold up well.
