I've bought one of the cheap generics in the past (hey, they look the same and are only $15!). The base of the hose ALWAYS (*#!) came off under vacuum and the hose material was very stiff and not as long as the Dyson original. This time I spent more money to get a Dyson original AND WHAT DIFFICULT. Original Dyson was light years ahead of the cheap generic. The hose always remains connected to the basic device; the hose material is very flexible and just as long as the original Dyson because it is a REAL DYSON. Don't waste your time and money on a generic drug; you will regret it.
