I got tired of my wooden and cast iron coasters being broken/damaged by cats and decided to give them a try. These three patterns are not only attractive, but also protect the island's wooden surface well. There is a slight variation in depth, so I use a thicker one for larger pans. I can't comment on the durability yet as I only received it recently. I appreciate that they don't slip and that cats completely ignore them. (Yes, I know cats shouldn't be there at all, but I'm unlucky they can't.)
