My grandson wanted these buttons on his new controller so I installed them. Installation is a pain (and I'm 40 years in electronics) but doable if you have the tools and knowledge. Unless you have experience servicing electronic equipment, I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself. To remove all the screws for disassembly you need to remove or pierce the serial number tag after which I assume any warranty work will be denied. It's almost the same as any warranty company. After installation, the buttons look sloppy (but they look cool!), and after about five minutes of use, my grandson said they were nowhere near as good as the original buttons, so I went through the disassembly again and got the originals back Installed. Basically a waste of $10. Stick with the original knobs - they were supplied by design engineers and passed multiple quality checks at the factory. Plus, that's one less reason why the warranty company should deny your claim.
