Review on Deluxe Acrylic Paint Set - US Art Supply 72-Piece by Kristen Simpson

Everyone should know right from the start that this painting set is not intended for intermediate level artists. . This is only for aspiring artists, young artists, or anyone who just wants to see what painting is all about. If you complain about the price of items and their quality, you don't realize how much art supplies cost. You can easily spend $50 on a quality paint tube or brush, and art easels can easily cost over $100. In other words, I got exactly what I expected. I bought this painting set for my 7 year old daughter who loves to draw but doesn't need high quality painting supplies. The included brush set is perfect for my daughter but lacks the light hazel and fan brushes. The colors aren't even student quality so the pigmentation won't be very impressive, but it will do for my daughter. The color wheel did a great job of teaching her some minor things in color theory, like complementary colors. The canvases are medium sized but again for my daughter and perfect for her needs. She likes palettes because she feels "grown up". An added bonus is that you get two, one wooden and one plastic. If she keeps drawing, she can decide which one she prefers. I only gave it 4 stars because, as others have mentioned, the easel drawer is not big enough for the paints included in the set. However, it will hold pencils and some brushes. There are also small tubes of paint that fit in the drawer. All in all I have a happy little girl who feels like a "professional" artist.
