It's great! My hair is long, thick, and layered, and it pulls into a nice bun without much effort. However, it took some practice to understand how they work. I've read reviews that shifts are a problem, but that wasn't a problem for me. I recommend tying your hair in a ponytail first. Pinch your hair and push it to the extreme point where all the layers are still together, then curl and wrap any layers that might rip out. The ends also need to be in a certain direction in order to be connected. It took me about 8 tries to figure it out, and now I have the perfect (or sloppy) bun in minutes!
