I really like painting with watercolors Kuretake GANSAI Tambi 48 from Japan. They behave a little differently than the western watercolor marks we use. They have excellent lifting properties. They are not as transparent as other brands but can be transparent. Very pigmented and vibrant colors. Small things have a big impact. So if you want a clear wash, use very little. I suppose a beginner can easily use them once they understand that they work a little differently than US and EU watercolors. My watercolor shows Japanese honeysuckle. The paints come in beautiful packaging with WASI tape and a large paint container for each colour. The colors are covered with a plastic cap containing all 48 colors. I love that it comes with a sample template so you can test the colors and see, as with all watercolours, the paint tray doesn't always look like it does on paper. So I check all my watercolors first and store them with my palette. Enjoy! It's a great environment to explore! I am very happy with my purchase and will buy them again if I use them.
