Review on 🔳 Complete Pressed Cane Webbing Kit: 5/8" Medium Open Mesh with Splines, Wedges, and Instructions by Kelsey Brown

I've never tried replacing the cane seat in the chair but I figured what the heck I'll try. I ordered this kit from Revain and started the project. The hardest part was removing the old seat and making room for the new slot. The old slot was very difficult to remove as it was glued with something other than water soluble PVA glue. After finally removing it and the 4 blisters on my arms, I proceeded to soak the stock material and spline in warm water. Luckily I had a large sink in the basement where I worked. After soaking for about 30 minutes I found a YouTube video that showed me each step and it turned out great. The kit includes everything you need to complete the project, including wooden wedges. I am very happy with the results.
