Review on Stant 10583 Locking Fuel Cap by Maurice Hurd

Although my old truck is listed in the application chart, this cap does not work properly. I had to send it back. The lid for pre-ejection vehicles (like mine) needs to be vented (breathed) both inside and out. An inlet to allow air to replace the fuel used and an outlet to relieve air pressure due to fuel expansion. Without intake venting you will run out of fuel when the tank is full, and without exhaust venting pressure can build up and raw fuel can flood the engine.
