I like the look of the bin but as others have pointed out it has design flaws. 1) The lid closes. I'm not deducting a star for that, as the common man makes bins with slow-closing lids that cost a bit more. The lid does not knock on the underside. It hits the air cushion created just before closing, which still makes a loud noise. 2) The trash can moves a little when I step on it to open the lid. The problem is that the lid pops out, reaches the maximum angle and rebounds a bit. This force causes the can itself to bounce back and forth slightly. This is most likely not a problem with large trash cans since the bottom blocks are heavier. 3) The trash can is designed to be placed on a wall with a design shape. However, you can't hold it close to the wall because the lid goes over the back of the bin when you open it. So unless you leave at least 2 inches of clearance from the wall, the lid will hit the wall when you open it. I will find a friend to take this bin as I don't want to send it back. or throw away.
