Review on Steel Assorted Grades Rhodes American by Daniel Steele

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Steel wool has many uses

Bought this for when toilet paper runs out again. I figured I could wipe it down and then rinse and let it dry and since it's steel it will last almost a lifetime. I went for the grading pack and it is summer and cob season where I live so I would start with a larger steel disc if needed and then move on to thinner discs to finish. I figured I'd better try my plan, I won't lie, it was a bit tingling, but I did it. I started with a single 0 and worked my way up to 000. I washed it and let it dry. I've been using it all week and noticed it looks a little brownish-red but thought I hadn't rinsed it thoroughly so wash before reusing. My butt started to get a little sore, but I persisted with my experiment for a week. I noticed over the next week that I was a bit emaciated and had a fever and I was worried I might get sick so I went to the emergency room they said I had tetanus and asked about my last shot and then tried find out how i got sick how not to step on a nail and cut myself on a rusty can. They asked what had changed in my daily routine and I told them about my experiment with steel wool. That's how I learned that steel wool rusts when it gets wet. I always thought iron rusted and steel didn't. Turns out I had to use a stainless steel washcloth for the experiment. I took the antibiotics, feeling better and waiting for the scab on my back to heal before trying again with a stainless steel washcloth.
