These are fantastic lights for the inside of closets. Plug them into our wall cabinets and they've worked perfectly so far. First I laid everything out on the counter and connected it. You can turn off the lights by clicking on the tab once they are all connected. You must use the LED driver even if you don't use the remote control. I wired an outlet above our upper cabinets that is controlled by a switch so we don't need a remote. Drill a small hole (15/64") 7/8" past the center of the canopy. Threaded the wire through the hole and installed the lantern. I decided to use the included screws to mount the lights. They also come with double sided tape. To use the screws you need to unscrew the bezel and diffuser plate. Take your time, these are very thin threads, do not use much force or pressure. Also, take your time installing the screws as the two mounting holes are close enough to the diodes that a slip could knock the diode out. Once installed, the lights hide the wire behind them. Screw the frame and diffuser back on with very light pressure. Make your connections and turn on the power. We used the remote to set it to the lowest level as this is an accent light. If you use them as general or task lighting, you can increase the brightness with the remote control.
