For good results you need precise control of heat, exposure and pressure. Covered with a digital controller, dwell time means the contact time between heated stamper, foil and substrate, which you will determine with practice. And pressure is applied by pulling the handle. The problem is that the pressure depends on how hard you pull the handle. That's how effective the pressure is variable. For consistent results you need constant pressure. When you watch demos, they always print small images. This is much easier than printing large areas that require a lot more pressure. Imagine if, for example, a small teenage child wearing flat-soled shoes accidentally stands on your bare foot, you probably won't feel any pain. over a small area through the stylet. However, you will find that the machine manufacturers' demos are usually designed for printing small areas. I have serious doubts that they can get good print quality across the entire printhead area, which would require a lot more pressure than could be applied manually.
