seems to work great, was used in a small (110 square foot) bedroom on the side of the house that never gets sunlight. We closed the door and the room was always musty. Put this on the edge of the table at low speed (4 speeds - sleep very quietly - low white background noise like a small fan - medium like a large fan - high like a vacuum cleaner maybe not that bad) low speed seems normal. We leave it on all the time and it's loud enough to comfort. The musty smell went away within 24 hours and never came back. As this is an enclosed bedroom we choose this unit with no UV (no ozone), it only has hepa and activated carbon filters. Runs for about a week so can't comment on the durability or lifespan of the filter but it's easy to use and maintain and seems like a well made device to explore.
