I had no idea I needed a clip foot to sew even seams, but this foot (although not essential) makes the job a lot easier. This foot attaches directly to my Brother machine and is very easy to use. The flat seam always confuses me because "wrong sides together" goes against my best instinct. I always have to think carefully about what I'm doing and most of the time I turn to various YouTube videos for help. This presser foot helps keep my stitches neat and even. Flat seams are my new favorite!
