I bought a 2TB Samsung T5 SSD for my Mac Pro Tower. At first everything was fine. They randomly started to "disconnect" or "eject" every few days when copying files. The problem is that it didn't mount after that. This required reformatting the drive each time. Disk Utility and Disk Warrior report "Hardware Error" issues. However, these warnings disappear after reformatting (extending, logging) the disk. Then a few days later it ejected while copying and couldn't be remounted, necessitating reformatting again and erasing all data on the drive. I'm using Mavericks (not High Sierra). I reformat and it works again. Until next time.
