Review on Angetube HD Webcam with Adjustable Ring Light and Mic | Advanced Autofocus AF Web Camera for Google Meet, Xbox, Facebook, YouTube Streaming by Chad Gravely

Good camera, bad microphone.

Good: The image quality of the camera is quite decent. The camera focuses automatically and the image is neither too close nor too far away. There is also no fisheye effect. Motion isn't perfect, but it's definitely better than most other webcams. There's just a faint hint of motion judder in heavy traffic, and it's imperceptible unless you're looking for it. Meh: I can only assume that the built-in backlight is intended for gamers who stream live from back rooms and screens with low brightness and play video games with poorly lit scenes. (I included an example showing how the camera light works. The room is pitch black and the screens are closed, so I'm only illuminated by the camera light.) I think that's fine, although it doesn't really do anything. if you're in a normally lit room with bright 4K screens, you'll look overexposed in this case. Cons: First, the red indicator isn't visible from an angle. Unless you're looking *up close* at the camera, you won't see it. Second, and worst, a bad built-in microphone. I had to crank the microphone sensitivity to the maximum to be heard properly. I recorded an example and will include it in this review. In this example, I'm speaking at a normal conversational volume, not the polite "library volume". And yet the sound quality is like a conversation in a wooden box. While I'm considering sending it back for a bad mic.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
