Personally, the echo sounder suits me, what I wanted is what I got, no less, no more. On 1 fishing trip, it was used on the shore, the echo sounder worked for 40+ minutes, in GPS mode, the battery charge was used by 20-25%. Has some pros 1. Compactness 2. The picture quality of the screen on your phone/tablet is most likely an order of magnitude higher than the picture quality of an echo sounder with a built-in screen in the same price category 3. Price / quality 4. How the consumer is treated, from packaging with stickers on the device to supporting you when using the echo sounder 5. Recognition of bottom species 6. Recognition of the size of the fish and the depth at which it is located 7. Pleasant bonuses in the form of a multi-tool and a case for night fishing, as for the holder for a smartphone, I consider it a rather specific accessory. Cons below: Sometimes the connection is lost, though most likely due to my fault and it is restored almost instantly, it is enough to either reconnect to the echo sounder or restart the application
