Review Updated: DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. I was able to get it to communicate with the Arduino (see below) but not send any data over the serial bus. I have used the exact same code (with CS output changed to 9) and setup with this device and with the official Seeed Studio device (CS pin 10) and this device is NOT FUNCTIONAL. First assessment: save yourself a lot of time and trouble. - Solder the ISP pins to the shield. Without soldering, they don't have a reliable connection. Use pin 10 for CS. If you are using the Can-Bus-Shield library (mcp_can) you need to change this value from 9 to 10 in the first few lines of code as it defaults to 9.
