The ESP8266 Wifi module is designed with a 4-layer board. It is safer to use the relay PCB pin anti-climbing design. The access control server passes the TCP CLIENT mode. Controlled by the HTTP protocol. Input overvoltage protection, TVS input, automatic protection will run when the voltage exceeds 33V. Single optocoupler isolated input, TVS input protection. Wide voltage input, input voltage: DC 7V - DC 30V, input overcurrent protection. 220V 10A relay, one normally open, one normally closed. An output status indicator, an input status indicator. Board dimensions: 65 ร— 40 ร— 20mm (1mm = 0.0393inch).

Basically works as advertised.

Works as expected and the schematics shared by other reviewers are helpful. The relay isn't the same spec so I can't be sure it can handle a DC load. In addition, the device did not boot correctly at 7 volts as advertised. Had to give 12. Otherwise works as advertised.

maybe less guesswork

It's a nice little board, but for those looking to reprogram it, a couple of Amazon questions answered with a link to a 2016 blog post is a pretty poor excuse for one table data. hope this picture helps someone. with the serial FTDI card it is programmed ok. The relay is on GPIO2 and GPIO4 is probably on the terminal block but I haven't checked personally. The web server code from the blog post above worked great, so thanks to James Ely for making it easy. According to the blog linked in theโ€ฆ

Works with ESPHome - network transceivers

It took a while, but everything worked on the Raspberry Pi 4. If you use Home Assistant and ESPHome, it's very simple. When configured for ESPHome, the GPIO relay pin is number 4. Use an FTDI card connected to the RPI, program it in ESPHome and make sure you select the ESP-07 card type. Boot first, connect the boot jumper. After that, turn off the device, remove the jumper and restart the computer. OTA if added then available. No more boot jumper or FTDI board needed.

The product is of poor quality overall, the plate was contaminated with flux residues. Generally poor quality control. It is better to buy from Alibaba.

good all in one

bought to use with alexa for a specific project where a regular alexa plug wouldn't work. haven't used it yet as I use separate components to do the same thing. I'll switch to it when I have time.

Ideal! But we need better screen printing.

This relay worked great and was very easy to flash with Tasmota which everyone who buys it will do anyway. I'm deducting a star for lack of documentation. As in the case, there is nothing but a link to a DIY article on the internet. This in itself wouldn't be such a problem if the screen printing on the PCB told you what all the various terminal connections were, which isn't the case.
