If you ignore the letter t, you won't have any problems, so don't worry about it.

Pros: Works steadily at all speeds. Fully compatible with ZYXEL switches. Different cons: Strong heating of the device. It is advisable to set the airflow.

The SFP works fine in my Miktotik switch and the other end is connected to a 10GBase-T port on a Synology DS1618+. Traffic between switch and DS1618+ is clean, no errors were detected. Also works well between my Miktotik Switch and Synology RT2600ac. Negotiations up to 1000/fully automatic. This link is clean, no errors are visible.

Bought two of these. Both are identical but the first came in a Microtik branded box with instructions. The second was wrapped in normal bubble wrap (NOT anti-static!) and with no instructions. They look the same so I'm hoping it was part of a bulk pack. I use them in Brocade/Ruckus switches so I can't tell the firmware version etc so I'll never know.

The modules I received at the end of November 2019 are version 1.0 and do not support jumbo frames. There is a later iteration with vendor version 2.16 that supports jumbo frames. Apparently the 2.16 versions have been around for a while, so wherever they're coming from, they're really out of date. Mine is coming back, I won't spend $150 on something that doesn't have essential networking features.

This is the first one that gave me symmetric 2000/2000Mbps. I have a couple of these SFP+ modules and have used them between my Mikrotik CRS305-1G-4S+IN and the Netgear AX12 (RAX120) router which negotiates a speed of 5 Gbit/s. I tried to use it with my QNAP QNA-T310G1S (Thunderbolt to SFP+ Adapter) but it couldn't even establish a 1Gbps connection, at least 10Gbps. I bought this while trying to troubleshoot a problem with a cable modem with a 2.5G ethernet port. When connecting the cable modem to the router via S+RJ10, the router reports that the interface is running at 2.5G, but the actual performance was poor. Update 09/24/21: This module is working so hard that it disables the port it is on. None of the other modules in the switch run as fast or have ever failed. You would think this Mikrotik switch would be better than other brands I have purchased from Revain. I like their switches but their SFP seems to be junk. Installing a fan right in front of the module solved the problem, but I am planning to replace it with a QSFPtek module as I have 5 of them and they work fine. I wish I could return it…

Update: After much fiddling, I finally got these devices to work stably (one in the switch mentioned below, another in the Intel x520-DA2). The most important thing to note is NO JUMBO FRAMES - yes you are limited to 1500 byte frames. That being said, I can transfer around 7.5 Gbps in a single thread, and "full" 10 Gbps with multi-threaded iperf. They're also very picky about resetting and auto-negotiating speed (x520 always reports 10 Gb/s even when connected at 1 Gb/s). If you have trouble…
