I have one in my locker, one stuffed around my clothes, this one is tied to the closet around my washer/dryer, and my total inability to not just fold dirty clothes into this washer and dryers for a longer period of time until needed, and for my favorite purpose, that in the freezer. Of all these, I prefer to use them in the freezer and fridge. I'm not sure how much shows on clothing. For large areas I choose "minor uselessness". I haven't noticed a difference, but opinions differ and I think it depends on the source of the smell. You look good enough. I'm curious to see how they will hold up over time as will cracks in the design. I've had them in the sun but not for too long but haven't noticed any real fading yet.
