Our Baofeng radios do not have very good quality control monitoring systems. I saw it on multiple walkie-talkies, and while everything seems to be in working order, there are some joints, such as non-twisted fixing rings. Covers and batteries may not be interchangeable because of the numerous counterfeits and manufacturing variances. Bad microphone, so you'll need to yell into the radio. But, there is a plethora of suggestions, and the price is low, and the potential benefits outweigh the risks (well, at least not critically), and the benefits, drawbacks, and "features" have all been thoroughly researched. Matching add-ons, ocean included. One of the most popular and inexpensive "for mushrooms" and "to the country" radio stations, in my opinion. Distributed under the Pofung label.
