I liked this cutter at first. Easy to use and clean and did a great job slicing white cheddar cheese. But then the original cutting wire broke or snapped from the handle, and while it came with several spare wires, it proved very difficult to replace without bending or stripping those spare wires. After trying unsuccessfully to replace the three extra spare wires, I threw the cutter in the trash. Now I think you need to place the cutter in a vise to securely depress and hold the lever to insert the cutting wire. So why is it so difficult for the average buyer? Too complicated for a small kitchen tool!
