I am pleased to say that of so many coffee/tea makers this is one of the few that contains NO PLASTIC. Plastic only exists on the outside in the form of a handle and lid that never come into contact with water. You can use a stainless steel tea infuser if you prefer, or just use it to boil water for coffee, whichever you prefer. Mr. Coffee holds up to 5 cups of water and the dimensions are printed on the outside of the cup with no additional plastic levers. The stainless steel base has 4 different buttons corresponding to 4 types of tea (black/herbal, oolong, white and green tea), each with its own temperature. There are 2 more buttons for cooking and on/off. It is possible to keep the water hot even after boiling. Overall, this is one of the best coffee makers and coffee makers at a very affordable price. It is easy to clean and wash. Just don't submerge it in water as it contains electronic components just below the jug and on the base.
