I was very happy to receive my Hot Tea Maker after reading all the great reviews. It was very easy to set up, use and brew a wonderful tea. I have carefully read and followed all cleaning instructions to properly care for the carafe. After each use it was rinsed and dried or air dried before being set back on the base. After less than 8 uses, a streak of rust appeared inside the carafe. I tried cleaning it but after the next use it became more obvious. Stainless steel should not rust after use.

This kettle is easy to use, easy to clean and easily removes with the tea basket to prevent over-brewing. I tried two other teapots - both were sent back. Both had issues - one was difficult to clean and getting the tea basket in and out of the kettle wasn't the best way, the other had to remove the cover to get the tea basket out of the lid - and you absolutely need protection to do this to avoid being burned.
