DOES NOT REPLACE VW Part Number 7L0-407-271-F
I gave this part to my mechanic to fit on my VW which the comments say it is a replacement for the OEM part 7L0- 407-271-F is suitable. Not only is it too short unless it fully extends the axle, eliminating the suspension trait of dropping the tire on rough terrain. But even if it were long enough, the flange and bolt pattern would not be suitable for installing on a car. Unfortunately I've found that I don't have a return or exchange window and I'm stuck with a part that doesn't fit my car.
