Review on πŸš— SHEROX 3.5" Car HUD Head Up Display with OBD2/EUOBD Interface: Speed, OverSpeed Warning, Water Temp, Battery Voltage, Mileage by Mike Skinner

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It takes a little time to set the settings due to poor instructions, compactness, good display and easy installation.

I bought this for my GMC Acadia and I liked it because it was the base model for the MPH, it was everything I needed and it came complete. The problem was, as I agree with other comments, the instructions were poor at best! So, like others, I tried and failed, and then again, and each time I figured it out with the help of comments. I managed it at 5 km/h. I started out at 104 and still 5 mph over the gauge. So I put it lower, 100, 95, 85 and still 5+. Then it got silly in my opinion as I could never go back to setting #4 (calibration). I've made it my mission to document my trials and failures so I know how to succeed. Slide the wheel straight in and hold until all the device indicators light up, release and it keeps showing 5.5 so I thought I was in to select the mode I wanted, #4 in my case I spun the wheel down until he got to number 4, push the wheel in a bit and release. Then #108 read YAHHHHHH. I turned the wheel down (click by click) until I reached my first choice of 104. I pushed the wheel inward until there was a single beep and let go. The unit then rested and returned to MPH. I parked the car, restarted it and drove off. 5+, so I kept trying. Then the 5.5 display kept popping up when I went into calibration mode #4 and when I tried to scroll the wheel down to #4 it went straight to KM-H so I had to MPH select, save and start over. I couldn't get him to dial #4 anymore and today I requested a refund. I'll try again as I feel like something went wrong although disappointment isn't rocket science lol. I found the head-up display feature bright and visible with little distortion but very legible. Keep in mind that you are not trying to read a short story on this HUD LOL and yes all windshields are not made equal so some will need glare protection and I may not. I will comment again when I receive a replacement. Fingers crossed. Bruce
