Truth be told, I have a hard time following the praise in the reviews. It would appear that the device's benefits and drawbacks are being overlooked since users are not aware of them. When activated, it emits a bright light that typically indicates success. All of its flaws are readily apparent to anyone who has dealt with humidifiers or who has experience with integrating devices into a smart home. The regular indicator is up to 10 units, and increases to 30 units only if there is a clear burning on the street, but as soon as I turned on the humidifier in the same room as the Xiaomi air purifier, the pollution indicator reached 118 (see photo). It was the first time in my life that I actually noticed the number 118 on the vacuum. As I also have a conventional humidifier, I wisely relocated both of them to different areas of the room; yet, the purifier continues to operate constantly at full power, to the point where I have to switch it to night mode. And it's worth noting that in a different room, the Xiaomi vacuum cleaner's indication likewise shot up from its normal 5 to 76 and has been there ever since (see photo). Either use a purifier and get an accurate reading of the pollution level, or use a humidifier and fool the instrument. Second, there is very little moisture present. Humidity rose to 39 from the typical 30-32 in winter after 4 hours of operation, according to the device, but the air purifier (with 118 pollutants) positioned across the bed from the humidifier showed a humidity indicator of 36. So the humidification is, in theory, quite weak, and if you keep an eye on it while using it, it can get dangerously high (of course, you are actually watching it under the stream). Third, it requires regular cleaning just like any other humidifier. It's written right there in the manual. And the more frequently you wash, the better, because otherwise you'll just spray the bacteria that will grow in there and spread. In many ways, it's not unlike owning a pet.
