Easy to install, great chair for the price

Please note that some people have complained about the front of the seat cutting into their legs. I wonder if they installed the seat backwards? The instructions seem misleading and I did the same at first. See photo. But in the photo of the chair on the website, you can see that the sloping side of the seat goes forward. After rearranging it I feel completely comfortable and no frame or edge can cut into your foot, you just rest on the cushion's curved mesh in front. It took me about 40 minutes to build, working very slowly (stopping to see the Grammys). ). It's not difficult at all. Just three sets of screws and a tightening tool. Only one set of bolts used washers and the instructions say to tighten everything every 6 months. In fact, we know no one will, so I wonder how long it will be before it starts creaking and falling apart when lifted to move. I put the replacement parts and a small Allen key in a plastic bag with assembly instructions on a sheet and stuck it under the seat. But of course I never remember if it's there or if I have to retighten the screws. The chair seems much better than I expected for the price. Before ordering, I removed the tape measure to see if the height adjustment met my needs. In its lowest position, it's 2 inches higher than my current office chair and I can't put my feet completely on the floor, but the metal footrest is perfect for that height. So i really love it. i 5-8. In its highest position, it makes an excellent high stool for a drawing table or desk. The raising and lowering mechanism works great, at least for now. If you search, there are small clues to its cheapness. For example the mysterious unused holes, I am assuming this is a mass produced part used in different types of chairs. See photo. And there were flaws in the paintwork, which are visible upon closer inspection. Looks like my chair has a scratch about 2 inches in size which they touched up. But for me that's absolutely no problem, the chair looks great and works well so far. I love that the armrests can be folded down in case I want to pull the chair straight to the table. I miss the fact that they are height adjustable like my 4x more expensive office chair. They're a little low for my elbows, but I'll adjust. I can tilt them a bit and as long as I'm not leaning heavily on them they are supported without folding all the way to a horizontal low position. I unpacked it yesterday and it still has that overwhelming strong plastic smell. No doubt it will go away and not kill any of us in that time.
