Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you have a BIG BERKEY water filter (the only one with an 8.5 " diameter), this reservoir is a MUST

If you have a specific BIG BERKEY water filter (the ONLY 8.5 IN DIAMETER) this glass is a MUST, even if you don't use the PF-2 white fluoride/arsenic immersion filters shown in this photo. Red Dye Test If you only use Black Berkey filters, you should run a red dye test to ensure your filters are removing contaminants. You MUST do this when you first install the filters and periodically thereafter if you notice a decrease in flow rate. To perform the red dye test, the Berkey website recommends that you fill the top chamber to the maximum and then continue testing until ALL the liquid has drained into the clear glass containers. The problem is that the Big Burke's upper chamber holds up to 2 gallons of water; So you need a container under that chamber that can also hold two full gallons. This pitcher from Anchor Hocking does just that. The reason you need to pipe ALL two gallons in the chamber into your glass container is because you need to make sure the water coming out of EACH of the 2-4 Black Berkey filters , is clean without even a hint of red or pink. or shadow. With this glass you can observe what.B. Capacity Comparison of Your 2-4 Black Berkey Filters The second important reason for this jug is that you can use it to compare the capacity of your 2-4 Black Berkey filters. 2-4 filters, but you notice that the flow rate of one or more is MUCH slower than the others, despite additional testing that Berkey recommends, the company allows up to 30 days to replace failed filters. Or, if you bought them from Revain, that company also allows returns within 30 days. After 30 days, they are covered by a 2-year replacement warranty when purchased from Berkey or an authorized reseller. Find the source of the muddy water. For the red dye test, white filters MUST be removed. But even after the exchange by the users, the jug is extremely useful. Those who use white filters may notice that the water that comes out is cloudy; but the only way to know WHICH particular filter is producing cloudy water is when the glass is needed. Determine which of the white filters, if any, has an abnormally low flow rate. This pitcher lets you know which ones are faulty and need replacing within 30 days. USE OF THE BERKEY LIMITED WARRANTY. When purchased either directly from Berkey or from an authorized retailer, Berkey offers an exchange guarantee on both the black Berkey and white PF. -2 filters. The Anchor Hocking Krug allows you to identify any damage that occurs during the warranty period. That means this pitcher can pay for itself depending on experience. USERS OF PF-2 WHITE FILTERS THIS JUG IS VERY CONVENIENT WHEN FILLING THE UPPER CHAMBER: IT PROVIDES A SAFE PLACE TO PARK YOUR UPPER CHAMBER Berkey recommends emptying the LOWER chamber each time users fill the UPPER chamber to avoid overfilling to avoid. This means users of PF-2 filters will need a place to safely park the upper chamber while they drain the lower chamber. 2 filters are attached below and 2-4 Black Berkey filters are inside. **NOTE: If there are 8 filters and they are all filled with water, the upper chamber will become heavy.
