Edited 9/3/2019: Just got these but tested one and did a test install to see if they would work for my application. Looks like the perfect lighting solution under my peninsular cabinets. They feel solid and have very strong locking pins that center them in the 2-1/4" hole and hold them securely in the 3/16" thick paneling under the cabinets. The flange is enough to hide small chips that may appear when cutting the hole. They are very low profile so they fit into the fairing with a clearance of about 1/4 inch above them to the bottom of the case. They have a slightly textured surface that's easy to clean but unlikely to show stains. The brightness and colors are very nice. I'm impressed so far. new info. Added comments: I liked them so much that I changed the kitchen lighting plan and installed a total of 16 of these lights. I prewired the kitchen for low voltage accent lighting from a common 12V DC power supply. I tested them and they work 100% right out of the box. They give off a very pleasant light and are positioned about 20" above the countertop and about 12" apart, they illuminate the countertop very well. Very good quality and performance. , and easy to install.
