this is my second set of balls of yarn i buy. I bought a few a long time ago and lets just say I started with 8 and cut down to 3. I'm pretty sure they're hiding somewhere in my nursery. Either way, it's time to replenish those beauties. so it should be a fabric softener and also reduce drying time. To be honest I've been using them for so long I don't remember if there really is a difference. I'll still be using them, probably until the day I die or someone else starts washing. I'm happy with that. these are good tight balls - i just wrote that - yes the old ones were loose. Oh I gotta stop this now So if you want wool color balls, these balls are great quality
