I decided to wrap my Stratocaster's fairing and chose Forged Carbon. Not sure why others are having issues as this is VERY good for me. I carefully prepared by cleaning the surface with alcohol several times. I also warmed up the vinyl (with backing) a bit with my old school hair dryer before applying; This activates the glue. FORGED CARBON FIBER looks cute but doesn't really look like forged carbon fiber. Appears as a semi-holographic black/grayscale forest camouflage. You can see the patterns appear and disappear as the light sweeps across the surface. I'm happy and think it gives my guitar a cool and unique look. It's no better or worse than any other vinyl I've ever used (including 3M) and I find if you prepare your surface properly; you shouldn't have a problem with that stuff.
