Otherwise you have to pay a little more. Funny, if I could find my second FOB I wouldn't have to buy that replacement. But it turns out that's the only way to program a new key fob yourself. However, when I received this replacement, I simply took it to my local Jeep dealership. After $40 it was cut and worked great. Now the retailer warned me before I started that about 25% of the online bought FOBs they receive couldn't be programmed - and that I'd still be on the hook for an installation fee if that didn't work out. Luckily this worked well.
