My size foot: 7. Does it adequately ice my foot? Yes. My foot is COLD. feels good. But.The entire ankle? No. (Not the front of my ankle) it works great my lower calf , my foot and my heel ! . I fractured my fibula and tore a ligament. My ankle is swollen in a ring fashion around the lower ankle & also on lower calf, worse on the left lateral ankle. This definitely works better than regular ice especially on the heel, calf, but the front of the ankle is not cold enough because the boot is too big. I tried overlapping the Velcro straps and it worked a little better but wish there was like a "shoe tongue' on the boot for the front of the ankle for more cooling.The boot is easy to assemble. I thought this one plugged in the wall and massaged your leg but it wasn't.was kind of sad about that. But it's ok.
