The wave generator arrived well packaged in a cardboard box with the wave generator, mounting magnet, control box, power supply and various accessories for setting the flow pattern together with an installation manual. Installation is easy, but I would recommend reading the instructions to understand where to mount the unit below the waterline. The device itself with the supplied accessories is well made and does not look cheap. It is a durable plastic with a smooth finish. Operation is easy. It worked for me in no time. The control unit can be more than sufficient for some freshwater installations with 3 different modes and different intensity levels that can be controlled at the touch of a button. The application is also simple and clear. It adds more wave patterns and features more suitable for sea water. I've also used the app, but for my freshwater setup the control box is sufficient. The wave generator is installed in a 90 cm freshwater aquarium. I have less filtration at the substrate level so this wave generator helps move the substrate so the filters can pick up any debris or fish debris. This helps keep the water clean so my water changes are effective. The wave generator is very, very quiet and quite powerful for its size. It worked for me on the lowest settings and it worked great. However, there is one consideration: if you have nano fish or small shrimp, be careful as the grilling holes can easily suck in fish or shrimp. I've also occasionally used a surface wave generator to agitate the surface and allow for better gas exchange since injecting CO2 into my tank. Overall this is a great product and I would recommend it.
