For the price unbeatable!

I don't think there is any other tool that is as widely accepted by as many brands as this tool in its price range. If you're looking for a tool to diagnose anything and don't need or want to deal with flashing control modules (that's what the dealership is for, they do it for free half the time too!) this is for you. .So far I have used it on several different BMWs, VWs and Jeeps and it communicates with all systems. I've been a long time VW friend and have been using VCDS since 2006. This will do what VCDS does, maybe it doesn't have much built in help to figure out things like coding, it doesn't have a nice chart to show injector pump run time and fuel consumption Displaying fuel temp on a real-time graph like this does VCDS for older TDIs, but if you know what range of numbers to look for anyway, it still takes some basic adjustments to make the job doable. somewhat surprised that it has nothing to do with the instrument itself. I think I was so spoiled working on VW all these years that I didn't realize that so many other automakers don't have that kind of real-time, detailed data and two-way testing and things that can be tweaked via coding or tailoring like BB allowed. Similarly, other automakers limit their own technology to what the scanner can do with their vehicles. Great, feature rich and easy to use scanner at a great price. What else do you need to know?

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Everything is fine
