I'll start with the positive. The assembly, quality and functionality of the DASH CAM itself is great! The image is sharp and it was a huge upgrade from my previous dash cam which was not 4k. The main features I was looking for in a dashcam were: image quality, high quality nighttime recording, size and high temperature resistance! The last point was very important to me as my last camera failed in the extreme Texas heat - both the camera and the mount failed. I needed something that could withstand high temperatures with a mount that would not fail at high temperatures. This camera was perfect for me and I was able to buy it for a $60 discount when it went on sale. As for caution. and this is only intended for people who are interested in application integration. The app itself is NOT supported AT ALL and there is no way to create an account - it looks like the app is no longer supported by the company. However, it's still possible to download videos to a Wi-Fi connected phone via the app, although it's set up in a weird way and takes a few minutes to figure out the first time. So if you care about the app then all the other great points are moot, but remember that it's still possible to download videos straight to your phone (which is really the number one reason to have the app in my opinion, although the app really sucks ) Anyhow, I hope this helps you understand if the camera is worth the price - I recommend buying it when it goes on sale to make up for the lack of a *fully* functional app to balance. *UPDATE NOVEMBER 10* Anyway, a few days later I'm unable to upload camera video to my phone via the app. I still intend to keep the dash cam, but I have no hope of reviving the app anytime soon. What a pity!
