Correct part, arrived quickly, they seem better than most offshore units. I used this ring compressor to install piston rings and cylinders on a 2007 Buell. XB12 (same as HD Sportster engine, almost every V-Twin). To adjust the cylinders I can't use a 10-1/2 long handle/spring loaded ratcheting pliers (they never seem to ratchet down to the right tension (they flinch more than a squirrel on meth and spring up with the slightest hit) I use a long # 8 through the holes in both pins (one on each end of the strap) I put a nut on the end of the bolt (making sure the nut or bolt doesn't fall into the crankcase) and then tighten the bolt to secure the Ring to compress the piston (I know they make ring compressors that work like a hose clamp but are too wide etc.) The pliers are hooked up to protrude under the band and the spot welds could be smoother but I believe this applies to almost all if not all compressors of this type If you are using a pen/pliers I have attached photos (KD on the right) of an older KD unit from the US but amer ikan KD and you have a ratchet with much finer teeth. I've just noticed that some of the fine teeth on the KD are rounded and won't hold up, confirming my low opinion of the ratcheting action of this style of ring compressor.
