It literally sticks to the visor when you pull it down. A few seconds to install; I haven't attached 2 small ones anywhere because I don't see the point yet. But they can be depending on what your availability should be I guess. I probably received about 15-20 surgical masks safely. in and could close it without effort. I will say this: be careful when you put them in the holder because if you try to stuff them like I did first, they will tangle/clump when you take one, and more than one will come out. If you pull on it, the strap may break. But overall I think it's an amazing thing for us. Ouch! Another thing, if you tend to lower your visor in bright sunshine, be aware that this item will block your view a little more than just a lowered visor. So for ME I can't block the sun because now an object (mask holder) is in the way. But he's not that concerned about where I took it. Hope I helped someone!
