This product is an exact replacement for the OEM hardware it replaced. Very easy to assemble and it fits perfectly. For those installing this part, the easiest way to replace the original is to unclip the plastic clip from the steel bar on the back of the trunk and then remove the original (broken piece). You then remove the other plastic clip, put the new one in, and then reconnect the other plastic clip (don't forget to disconnect the wiring first. It literally took less than ten minutes. Also, you have to completely remove the carpet from the trunk for easy access.
