OEM VW valve body for 01M gearbox fits my 2004 Jetta GLS 2.0 perfectly and works great. The clip on one of the solenoids was broken in half when the part arrived, but everything snapped on nicely and works well. Bought to fix code P0743 and locked car in gear. My car still shifts a bit tightly between 2nd and 3rd gear, but I think that's due to the high mileage and low clutch wear. It is important to know that depending on the issue, after replacing the valve body, you MUST reset the TCM in the vehicle. Especially if you dump the code like mine. If the TCM is not reset, the car will not know how to readjust and exit "safe mode" and will remain in third gear, which can fry your transmission over time. Luckily I have a buddy with VAG-COM software and he was able to reset the TCM in about 3 minutes. I'll update if anything comes up. All in all, even with the need to find a VAG-COM, the price of this part is over $1,300 in the transmission shop. Hope this helps someone!
