Seems to be durable. It feels like it should last forever. The handle is long enough and I like that there is a notch on the back of the dustpan to make it easier for your fingers to tip the dustpan into the trash. All the other shovels I've used didn't have this feature and I'm glad they do. She has a tendency to screw up. Every dust collector I've ever used has done this, so I don't see it as a problem. You would think they would come up with a way to securely attach the pan and handle to each other.
