This collar is NOT EFFECTIVE when training your pet. I don't usually leave product reviews, but my disappointment with this product causes me to warn others. This is a good quality collar and after a few days of use it fits comfortably and looks good on my dog. HOWEVER, Bluetooth technology needs to be greatly improved (aka SUCKS)! I bought a collar to hold my 75 pounds. the dog does not fall into the trash and barks aggressively. I really liked that the app can be downloaded to more than one phone so that other family members can help with the training effort and we don't always have to look for the remote when the dog starts acting undesirable. BUT, no matter how many mobile devices or what type of device you have, the app will NOT stay connected. The app closes and disconnects when you open another app, your device goes to sleep, or the lock screen goes on. So if a pet is caught behaving in an undesirable way, an immediate response with a training collar is IMPOSSIBLE! If the dog starts barking aggressively, I have to unlock the phone, find and open the app, wait for the device to recognize the collar and connect to it, even if I already have my phone in my hand. In most cases, it doesn't connect on the first try. Ooooh, I try again until it finally connects and do 2-3 tries with 15-30 seconds for each try. I then hit alarm/vibrate as a warning and finally static to prevent unwanted behavior. The whole process takes a minute or more which just teaches my dog that he can bark obsessively the entire time before being punished for the behavior. Communication is the real problem. I have cheap bluetooth speakers at home that stay connected better than this collar 😕. Failure to respond immediately to training with this collar is highly counterproductive pet behavior training. We have used other PetSafe remote control collars in the past which worked much better than this version with the bluetooth app. I am returning this product and DO NOT RECOMMEND for pet owners who want to use an exerciser to curb their pet's unwanted behavior.
