Does what I want like

I got this to replace a peephole in my door so I can look outside without revealing my presence by blocking the light from inside. It works well for that, it's easy enough to install, you need a 9/16 hole, but the original peep hole was only 1/2 inch. I didn't have a drill this size so I used my conical drill to enlarge the hole in my steel door. This part is taken from the image on the screen. My fault is that I didn't try it before installing it, but the image is heavily redshifted, something like black and white with various shades of red instead of gray, not color as shown in the images. It would come back if I tested it first. The lack of color has nothing to do with the lack of light, the picture hardly changes between daylight and near dusk, it's quite sharp and the view is better than through the peephole. I think the night vision is working, but I only see a point of light from a very dim street light, the rest is total darkness. I can live with the red cast, otherwise it works so well that I only deducted one star. .
