Review on πŸ”§ Bulletproof Hitches 2.0" Adjustable Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch (22,000lb Rating) with 8" Drop/Rise, 2" and 2 5/16" Dual Ball - Black Textured Powder Coat, Solid Steel by Ryo Flora

Heavy duty, but not necessarily made for every towing job.

Well for over $300 I really expected this hitch to be extremely impressive. She is very durable; probably weighs 40 pounds without the ball and another 30 pounds with it. The welds on it look pretty decent too. I have no doubt this thing will last (except maybe the pivot points, see below). Now that I'm hauling heavy trailers behind my diesel, I can't say anything bad about them. The heavy weight of this 8" drop version will support pretty much anything I can tow my pickup and still feel solid. However, towing a lighter trailer behind a family SUV is a different story. The play between the pins and the ball part, which is supplemented by the play in the adjustment holes, generates little noise. On a recent 15 hour round trip in a small 5x8" trailer, I could almost give this thing away (if it weren't for $300). The bouncing could be felt in the joint, there was enough play throughout the setup that you could hear and feel the clank of every bump in the road. Now I'm starting to notice a little extra wear on the pins and pin holes from constantly banging the parts together (a heavier load and longer ride could cause the pin to crack or become detached). might expect one of the locking pins so someone can't remove the ball piece, but you can buy their locking pin instead for $80 each. (I'm not sure I trust a standard stem pin to hold all of the tongue weight and pull). Overall I am neither impressed nor dissatisfied with this towbar. I will continue to use it, but I will not use it as a light trailer for long-distance travel.
