So when it comes to PLA, I don't mind. They have great filament, great colors and at $20 for a 1kg spool, you really can't beat it. However, lately I've taken to printing a lot of PETG and I love it. I went to ESun for my PETG and it prints like a dream. But I like the options so I wanted more PLA and I didn't have much. Hatchbox lacks EVERYTHING so I checked out ESun. Their PETG is cash so I assumed their PLA must be great too. Then I saw that they have a PLA+ option. I love Pla but wish it was a little bit better. Ok, ESun delivers. I doubt it will have heat resistance like PETG, but I know my filaments and wouldn't use PLA+ in a hot environment. Anyway, I'm using Original Prusa Mk3s and have the PLA+ coil loaded. Nothing but problems. First. Many people say that you have to use the basic PLA settings. NO. Do not do that. I looked around, some people write cooler, some people write hot, so it's everywhere. One thing to be aware of when getting this material is that you will have to play around with your pace. It was printed like garbage, fibrous, blotches everywhere. The first two prints I made with this material I broke off after about a minute. He didn't even finish typing the margins. Yes, that's bad. So I got the temp on my MK3s up to first layer 225, layer 65. The second layer and on I went to the 220 nozzle and layer 60. I'm currently printing a yellow banana coaster and I have to say it looks AMAZING. These steps work for me and I saved the profile as I couldn't find the ESUN profile. Even though I've seen people type colder. This is only my 3rd temp reading and it's looking good so I'll stick with 225/220 - 65/60 unless I see the need to step back a bit. ESUN, if you are reading, I would like to ask a favor of you. I love your products but I really wish filament manufacturers like you had a section on their website that only has printer profiles for your products. Maybe post a link to the cards you put in the box with all the great info about them. You need to do extensive testing to make your product stand out from all the rest because NO manufacturer publishes filament profiles on their website. And they're pretty versatile. Make one for Slicer and one for Cura and you'll probably cover 90% of your user base. And we love you for it. But yeah, if you're looking for a great solid filament spool that prints great, ESun should be on your shortlist. I still get a few hatchboxes every once in a while when the Esuna is out of stock lol. But now for PLA+ and PETG. I'm an Esun guy.
