Once installed, the stand feels solid. I put a 45lb dumbbell on it (in a saddlebag I ordered separately) for the ride and it held up great. Another review that said they only put 20lbs in it and it broke seems fishy to me. Maybe 20 was a lot more. The instructions were not good or helpful. For some reason they want to complicate this simple installation. Maybe they are evil and trying to wreak havoc on the world. Or maybe they gave the job to the manager's son, who was hired with no qualifications just because of nepotism, but my goodness, he's really "doing his best". Maybe we'll never know. You will need a wrench for installation. Attach the side rails to the rack. Then attach the luggage rack to the bike seat and attach the armrests to the bike frame. Tighten the screws halfway to hold them in place. Adjust it so it's even, then tighten what's left. Then attach the side bars of the cage and you're done. Took me less than 10 minutes.
