Defective. Holds no pressure. Was replaced as a service item when I changed my thermostat. Caused cooling system boiling in overflow. I thought I had an airlock or, worse, a blown head gasket. It turned out that there was no pressure in the cooling system. You put your own cover on and there are no problems. Install OEM caps. They're not much more than money and will save you the headache I just had.
